Complimentary Cleaning.
We provide complimentary cleaning services at Nick Hatia. Your ring will not only be steam-cleaned by our jeweler but will also be inspected under magnification to ensure that the prongs are secure and to look for diamond fractures and loose stones. Your first two cleaning services are on us!

Professional cleanings are recommended at least twice a year to maintain the structural integrity of your ring and keep it as gleaming as the day you first put it on.
At-Home Care.
-
The simplest method to keep your diamonds clean is to soak them once or twice a week in a moderate and mild de-greasing solution, such as warm and diluted dishwashing water or an ammonia-based home cleanser.

-
To remove any leftover debris, use a soft-bristled, clean/new toothbrush kept just for jewelry cleaning.

-
Remember to clean the back of the diamond, which accumulates oil and dust, to restore its brilliance.

-
Store-bought non-abrasive jewelry cleaners are a great alternative to brushing. It is essential to remember that the diamond should be treated with care, and the delicate settings should not be cleaned violently.

-
After properly rinsing the diamonds with water, dry with a soft lint-free towel.

Avoid:

-
Chlorine bleach and abrasives such as household cleaners or toothpaste are examples of cleaning chemicals that should never be used on diamonds. The compounds in these corrosive substances can severely degrade the metals used to alloy gold for diamond placements.

-
Avoid washing jewelry near the sink, and if you must, cover the sink drain so that the jewelry does not slip and fall down the drain. It is also a good idea to use a rubber sink mat to keep diamonds from breaking or chipping if they are dropped unintentionally.
